Testwood School enjoys a good reputation for care of pupils and high academic standards and is a natural choice for many parents in the area. Most pupils come from our three partner junior schools, Abbotswood, Oakfield and Calmore. Close and extensive liaison exists between all schools in this ‘pyramid’ to ensure an effective transition from junior to secondary school for all pupils.

The Facilities

The school has specialist accommodation for most subjects with an additional 35 general purpose teaching rooms. Specialist accommodation includes seven purpose built technology rooms, three art rooms, a music suite, two drama studios, seven modern ICT rooms, a sports hall and gymnasium. There are nine modern science laboratories, three of which were constructed in 1996 and two more opened in 2001.

The school Library is open during the school day and after school for students. It has a wide range of reading material as well as 65 networked computers.
